pounds per sq.inch - newtons per sq. cm

Hello.
I'm trying to find a formula that converts pounds per square inch to newtons per square centimetre and vice versa.
This measurement is used in assessing the strength of pages in a bound book.

Thanks.

Geo.

Geo. Not familar with your application but...

Multiply pounds/square inch * 0.689475729 to convert to
Newton/square centimeters.

ex. 5 PSI * 0.689475729 = 3.447378645 N/cm2.

To convert N/cm2 to PSI, divide by 0.689475729
3.447378645 N/cm2 / 0.689475729 = 5 PSI
