Nope,

Degrees is a unit for angles, Meter is a unit for length.

Is this degree latitude/longitude that you meant?

The distance between degrees latitude and longitude varies, since it is based on the shape of the Earth, which is not quite spherical.

I have heard people say 1 degree = 60 nautical miles, but that is an average distance between 1 degree latitude. The distance between 1 degree longitude actually varies greatly, between 0 and 69 miles, so you cant really approximate that.

I believe the only way to convert latitude/longitude degrees to distance, would be by looking up the values in a database, probably what places such as MapQuest and Yahoo Maps use.
