convert 3 millimeters to a fraction in inches

when i asked to convert 3 millimeters to inches it gave me the value .1181102 and i do not know how to make this into a fraction.  Please help!

The closest I can see is:

2/17 = 0.1176

For standard fractions you might find on a ruler:

1/8 = 0.125
7/64 = 0.109

There is no really easy way for converting decimal to fractions, aside from trying every possible combination.
