about how many heads of garlic are needed to make 1/2 cup minced garlic?

According to the Rec.Cooking.Faq, minced garlic weighs 150 grams per cup. So you would need 75 grams worth of whole garlic.

Just need to find out how much a head of garlic weighs to figure out the rest.
