i want to know about the gauge pressure and absolute pressure and which pressure has to be taken for calculating the air flow and mass??[/b]

Gauge pressure measures the difference between the pressure inside the pipe, and the pressure of the atmosphere.

Absolute pressure measures the total pressure, including the pressure of the atmosphere.

It doesn't matter which method you use, just lable the results. For example, if you use gauge label psig, and if you use absolute label psia.
