does anyone knows the calculation involved in determining the power required by a centrifuge by knowing its speed of rotation?

I would guess that different types of centrifuge would spin at different rates depending on A: how efficient the drive is <energy lost via heat/vibration/friction>, and B: if the drive utilizes a gear/belt train to increase/decrease the speed of the centrifuge.
