worldwide units of measure

I was just interested in a comparison of different units of measurment (especially those for weight) used by varied countries and was wondering if anyone could give some examples.

Thanks!

Most countries have switched to the metric systems, they use kilograms, liters, kilometers, etc.

You can find more information on the metric system here:
http://physics.nist.gov/cuu/Units/

The U.S. has also switched to the metric system, but currently only the government and businesses in international trade use it, as it has been slow to catch on amount the general population.

For the most part we still use traditional units such as the pound, gallon, foot, mile, etc.

All countries have traditional units based on units such as the foot, inch, pound, etc. Its just that those countries have switched to the metric system long enough ago that they are no longer in use.

If you can provide more information on exactly what you're looking for, I may be of more help.
