Square yards to cubic feet

Here is the given information... I'm paving an area of approx 517,000 square yards, 18" thick.  

517,000 x 9 = 4,635,000 x 1.5 = 6,952,500 cuft ???

Is that right ?

517000 square yard = 4,653,000 square foot
18 inches = 1.5 foot

4,653,000 square foot * 1.5 foot = 6,979,500 cubic foot

Your result is incorrect because you swapped the 3 and 5 in the square yard to square foot conversion.
