Glass for a desk

Glass for a desk

I need to cover the top of a desk with glass.  Only problem is it curves on one side.  the measurements are:

L 182.5 cm
W 75 .5 cm at ends of desk
W 91 cm at center of desk

how do i convey this information to the contractor so he knows exactly what I'm talking about, and how to cut the glass correctly?  Am i leaving something out?   ???

I think you would somehow need to measure the angle of the curves. Though I am sure he could probably guestimate based on the measurements you have now.

What I would do, is buy a large poster board or blank newsprint, then lay it over the desk and trace the curves of the desk.

Then you can just give him the traced newsprint so he can cut the glass exactly. It could also be mailed if you're doing this through the post.

You were absolutely correct.  I did have enough info and the contractor scethed it out perfectly without me saying anything.  Thanks for the help!   ;D
