mg/l to ppm - help

I need to find the conversion of lets say 40 mg/l of NH3 (ammonia - m/v) wastewater, which produces (through biological means) to 15 ppm of N2O gas (nitrous oxide, v/v).

Basically I need to work out the % of N converted from NH3 to N2O.

Do you have many samples measurements?

Seems like the safest bet would be to make many samples and graph the results. Then even if the conversion is not linear you'd be able to find the results just by looking at the graph.
